ROTTENTOWN - Victims of Nothing Cover Art

It's not a mystery how much I do love heavy metal music; so, when Rottentown hired me for the cover artwork of their upcoming EP, I couldn't be more happy and proud. 

Rottentown are a very good Spanish classic metal band, and, if interested, you can listen to their former EP + 1 song from the upcoming one, on their youtube page.

Part of my artwork was released some days ago and you can see it here, the other two parts of the illustration are still top secret at the moment:

Fedzeppelin is back + inktober highlights

Hello everybody, if anyone is still here.

Finally, after I don't even know how many months that look like centuries, I'm back on these pages with lots of updates. Skipping over my private life (or, making the things short, I'm living in a new house, in a new town, in a new country... but same continent) lately I decided to challenge myself to overcome my aversion for all the inking thing and partecipated at the latest inktober. 

I'm really satisfied about improving my inking skills not to mention the fact that I didn't give up after a few days as I prevented.
 

Publishing here all the 31 illustration would be a bit too much, so I selected some sample, choosing among my favorites artwork for this month.

A tribute to Vanessa Cardinali's Thunder Ben

Some days ago, in Italy, Bao Publishing published "Thunder Ben", a graphic novel all written and illustrated by Vanessa Cardinali.

As you can see, she is a very good comic-artist, so, if you can read in Italian, you are strongly advised to buy and read it.

By the way, she is also a dear friend of mine and, at the moment, she is collecting some tributes done by friends and collegues. So this is my Thunder Ben tribute, you can see the others here

A poster for Amon Amarth

Here I am again, just a quick appearence to tell you I'm still alive and to share with you a new illustration.
This is for a contest: the theme was like "design a poster for Amon Amarth" that is one of my favourite metal band (check them if you don't know them).

Ink-lineart is made by Sara as usual.

Viking

This month I was challenged to draw a viking.

So here there is my entry for the character design challenge on facebook: a man with some problems in dress codes, it's not his bad anyway: weather is becoming every day crazier.

Some days ago, it was the b.day of a very good musiscian whose name is Yossi Sassi.

Since I'm a big fan of him, I decided to make him a little b.day present, so I did a little fan art. He apreciated it so much he shared it on his facebook page makig me a very happy fan, so you can see it here or in his twitter account

what am I doing?

Yep, I know, I sort of disappeared lately... as usual.

I'm sorry, it's just I'm working on some project proposals and I have no free time and I can't focus enought to complete my usual random illustrations.

Next week I'll share some pages I'm working on, in the manwhile, all I can show is a unfinished illustration I started some week ago, just to make some exercise with digital colour.

I promise I'll finish it sooner or later, but in the meanwhile here it is!
