Higher Ground

The day after, I'm definitely still in Eurovision Songs Contest hangover. I loved particularly Denmark's song, performed by Rasmussen (but hey: Austria, Italy, Hungary and Moldova you're in my heart too), and I couldn't help drawing a quick viking themed sketch.

Here there is my trubute all in pantone and ball-point pen to Higer Ground (if you click on the name, you can listen to the song).

Fedzeppelin is back + inktober highlights

Hello everybody, if anyone is still here.

Finally, after I don't even know how many months that look like centuries, I'm back on these pages with lots of updates. Skipping over my private life (or, making the things short, I'm living in a new house, in a new town, in a new country... but same continent) lately I decided to challenge myself to overcome my aversion for all the inking thing and partecipated at the latest inktober

I'm really satisfied about improving my inking skills not to mention the fact that I didn't give up after a few days as I prevented.

Publishing here all the 31 illustration would be a bit too much, so I selected some sample, choosing among my favorites artwork for this month.

Enjoy, and if you like to see my whole inktober2017 series you can take a look at my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fedzeppelin/

The price of a mile

Today it's 100 years since the World War I beginned.
It has been one of the more devasting historical events in Europe and millions and millions of young men was sent to the front and never came back, between them there was my grandpa's elder broder, Gabriele.
Saddly this seems not to have teached anything to our governments, since wars happen every day all around the world.
The illustration is done in pen and digital colour.

The title of this post it's from the Sabaton's song The Price of a Mile, about the WWI.
